Why double effect?
Forward as well as backward arm movements propel the wheelchair for optimal efficiency
the control of the wheelchair is also simplified: Moving forwards and backwards, slowing down and turning can be done by using only one hand
System allows for arm movements with variable amplitude or constant intensity, which is perfect for people that are physically weak or have a low capacity for movement; speed and intensity are easily adaptable.
The adapted wheelchair is still as narrow and easy to fold as before
